Our 5 Favorite Things About Frontier Park in Prosper Texas

Here is a picture of us enjoying the lack of a crowd at this park on a Spring day!

Prosper, Texas is a town on the way up.  Ten or fifteen years ago it was a lot smaller and had much fewer people.  But, now in 2023 they're getting bigger by the day.  On top of all the new neighborhoods, stores, resturants, and schools they're building some pretty great public parks.  So I'm going to tell you 5 things we really liked about Frontier Park.

There's fish in there!

5.   Number five on my list is the man made lake.  I'm not a fisherman, nor am I inclined to become one but, it is pretty cool that you can come here and fish.  This would be a good place to introduce kids to fishing.  It's also just nice to take a walk around, and over the bridge as well.  You can see ducks, geese, and we even saw a few turtles swimming around.

The kids are very interested in field sports!

4.  They have more soccer fields, and baseball diamonds than you can shake a stick at.  The girls are all pretty interested in soccer and kickball so they had a good time playing.  If you want to use the baseball diamonds you have to call the park management and set up an appointment but from what I could see they look very nice.  There is also a football stadium here but it's the school's and is likely only open for school activites.

The picnic area is very big!

3.  The amedities here are pretty good.  The bathrooms at this park are some of the cleanest I've ever seen in a public park.  The picnic area is very large and has a lot of good cover, so you wont be 100% fried by the sun if you decide to have lunch here or a birthday party.

There are just TOO MANY PICTURES!

2.  At any other park the playgrounds would be my number one pick.  They have 3 large well laid out playgrounds with a good variety of activities.  One that is geared more towards younger kids and two that are more for your 1st grade and up crowd.  Theres a tire swing that was a big hit with the kids.  Overall there is a lot to do, it's clean, and well taken care of.

Sometimes it's what you don't see that tells the story.

1.  My number one favorite thing about this park is, it was not overflowing with people!  This is a very very nice park, there is a park that is very similar to this in Frisco.  But, if you go to that park in Frisco on a freezing cold day, with sleet falling, and lightning striking you still will have to deal with a large crowd.  Here in Frontier Park you will see other people sure, but you aren't going to be overwhelmed even on an amazing Spring day.
